Basic Food Hygiene Training
Course Objective
This training follows the syllabus specified by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and covers all major aspects of basic food hygiene training including the latest changes to the law to satisfy the training requirements laid down by the Food Safety Act 1990.

- Understand how to prevent food poisoning and food contamination
- Explain the standards of personal hygiene required of food handlers
- Explain how the current legislation affects food handlers
- Understand the importance of good design of food premises
- Explain the importance of the correct storage and handling of food
- Know the importance of cleaning procedures and how to use cleaning schedules
- Identify the common pests in food premises and control measures
